London, UK, 30 January 2013 – Wuaki.tv, a leading movie and TV series streaming service, today announced a new app optimised for iOS7 that brings the Wuaki.tv service to the iPhone and a range of Apple devices for the first time. Wuaki.tv’s extensive catalogue of movies and TV series is now available on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The Wuaki.tv Player, available from the App Store, allows Wuaki.tv users to browse, rent, or purchase movies and TV series from a catalogue of over 5,000 titles directly from an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Previously purchased and rented titles will be automatically made available through the ‘My Library’ section, meaning users can watch their favourite content anywhere, anytime over a wifi connection. Personal wishlists are also automatically synced on the new mobile app.

Wuaki.tv Selection subscribers will also be able to stream an extensive on-demand catalogue directly to their Apple device, taking Wuaki.tv’s regularly refreshed subscription catalogue with them wherever they go.

Wuaki.tv offers a unique service in the UK, allowing users to choose between rental and purchase of the latest blockbuster movies and TV shows and an unlimited monthly streaming subscription called Wuaki.tv Selection. The service provides access to thousands of hours of movies and TV shows from both Hollywood Studios and UK distributors, with the Wuaki.tv Selection updated on a weekly basis. With Wuaki.tv, users have access to a great value subscription service and the latest releases all in one place.

The announcement is the latest example of Wuaki.tv’s expansion onto new device platforms following the launches of apps for LG, Samsung and Sony Smart TVs, Android tablets and the Xbox One console.

“Redesigning Wuaki.tv Player for iOS7 means iPhone and Apple users can take our entire quality catalogue with them wherever they go,” comments Jacinto Roca, CEO of Wuaki.tv. “It’s commonplace for users to expect all their content, movies and TV shows, to be available across every device and platform they use. At Wuaki.tv we want to allow users to access on-demand streaming on every device they have with a screen, and this is big step in reaching that goal.”

A Wuaki Selection subscription is priced at £5.99 per month, providing unlimited access to the company’s extensive and regularly-refreshed selection of movies and TV shows. New users can trial the Wuaki Selection service for free for the first month. Newly released titles available to rent and purchase are priced individually. The iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad app is available now from the App Store. All apps require a Wifi connection to allow movie and TV shows to be streamed.
